Day 1 recap

Hey guys!

So day 1 of my reboot hasn't been bad at all! I started this morning off with a cup of hot lemon water. About a hour later I had my first glass of juice---carrot, apple, ginger, and it was delicious! I couldn't believe it tasted so great and felt really good after drinking it! As a mid-morning "snack," I had 16oz of water. According to www.rebootwithjoe.com, you're supposed to have coconut water, but I don't like coconut, so I figured I wouldn't like coconut water, and just use regular water as a replacement. At this point I wasn't hungry at all, but drank it just to try to stay hydrated.

About 3 hours later I had lunch---another carrot, apple, ginger juice. I'm technically supposed to have a different juice at this point, but since my pitcher was full of leftover juice (each batch makes 2 servings), I just drank that. Having said that, I think tomorrow I'll do a different juice, because having the same juice back-to-back, doesn't really taste good the second time around. I'm just going to get another pitcher so I can have 2 juices in the fridge at the same time.

For my mid-evening "snack" I had Joe's mean green juice---celery, cucumber, kale, green apple, ginger, and lemon. To be honest, I was very nervous making this drink, because I don't like celery and have never had kale, so I thought it'd be nasty. I was partially right. It's kinda gross, but I can say that the more I drink it, the more it grows on me (I'm drinking it as I write). I definitely prefer the juice from earlier, but am keeping an open mind about trying new things.

Overall, day 1 was fairly easy for me. There were a few moments where I thought about all the food I could be eating, but those moments passed. Physically & emotionally, I felt great and had no side effects. I'm feeling optimistic about tomorrow and taking this one day at a time : )
